Can I cancel anytime?
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All Recon44 plans are month-to-month and you can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing and plans in your dashboard. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. You won’t be charged again after that, and there are no cancellation fees.Annual subscribers who cancel mid-year retain access through the end of the paid period. Refunds for unused months on annual plans are handled case-by-case — contact support if you need to discuss this.

Is there a free trial?

It gives you real visibility into attacks hitting your site using the read-only WAF, plus basic vulnerability scanning and 7 days of threat history. If you want to evaluate active blocking before committing, you can upgrade to Pro at any time and cancel before your next billing date if it’s not the right fit.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
If you downgrade to a lower plan, your account immediately moves to the features and limits of that plan. Data that falls outside the new plan’s retention window is not deleted immediately — Recon44 retains it for 30 days after the downgrade to give you time to export anything you need. After that grace period, data beyond the plan’s retention limit is permanently deleted. For example, if you downgrade from Business (90-day retention) to Pro (30-day retention), threat history older than 30 days is queued for deletion after a 30-day grace period.
Export any audit logs or compliance evidence you need before downgrading, especially if you’re moving off Business, Scale, or Enterprise.

What's the difference between read-only WAF and active blocking?
What's the difference between read-only WAF and active blocking?
The read-only WAF on the Free plan inspects incoming requests and logs detected attacks in your dashboard — but it does not block them. Malicious requests still reach your application. Recon44 blocks SQL injection (SQLi), cross-site scripting (XSS), server-side template injection (SSTI), remote code execution (RCE), path traversal, brute force attempts, and automated bot traffic in real time.
